The sun has set on another wonderful weekend together in nature.
Those who know us know that we love the outdoors. From time to time we get the opportunity to extend that beyond our playground and birthday parties and go camping!
Besides just enjoying the beauty of the central Texas outdoors, our camping trips are a fantastic opportunity for those in our community get to know each other. Children and teachers get to know each other outside the classroom. Parents and teachers get to chat beyond the typical school talk at drop-off and pick-up. And, parents get to know each other while cooking, hiking, swimming and enjoying the campfire.
In the meantime, we have so many shared memories. We saw so many bugs and birds and fish! We got ant-bites and watched hopping caterpillars. We waded in the river, skipped rocks, watched fish and even caught a water snake. But most of all, we got to know ourselves, and each other, better.
