Ariel DeRuvo – Teacher 

An Austin native, Ariel graduated from St. Edward’s University in May 2014  with a degree in psychology. Her sophomore year Ariel studied Child Development and became fascinated by the stages of growth and development children go through physically and cognitively. This sparked a deep interest in her to work with young children.

In an internship with Khuloud in 2013, she spent several hours each week observing and reflecting on the Montessori environment. In the spring of 2014, Ariel joined the school as a part time substitute.

Now, she is delighted to have the chance to work full time with the children and teachers at HMS. She has a passion for positive communication. She loves helping the children build skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.

In her free time, Ariel enjoys drawing, dancing, reading, and jogging by the river.
